Kelly® doll has arrived in New Orleans with nothing to wear! Bring your nude Kelly® doll to class and in less than 2 hours you’ll leave with a OOAK Kouture Kelly® doll ready for a Mardi Gras ball or a Parisian runway! Almost everything you need will be supplied by the workshop presenter. All you need to bring is a Kelly® doll with a pair of shoes. (Chelsea® dolls won’t work as they are too tall.) This is an easy workshop with no sewing skills needed, just an adventuresome spirit!
Krissa has been collecting Barbie® dolls most of her life. She loves the vintage/Mod era, Silkstone® dolls, Kelly® dolls, Reproductions, Paper dolls, Vinyl items, just about anything Barbie® doll related. Krissa has been creating OOAK Kelly® dolls since her first convention in 2000. Krissa is a member of Club 1959 as well as a member of the convention hosting club, Tampa Bay Pink Pirates Fashion Doll Club.

Pumps and mules and slingbacks, Oh My!….. a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes! In this workshop you will learn techniques to customize fashion doll shoes to enhance your Barbie® doll’s fabulous wardrobe. You will go home with 5 new pair of shoes designed by you, watch out Louboutin! We may just find the next great shoe designer here in our workshop!
You don’t have to bring a thing to our workshop except for your imagination and enthusiasm.

Hande Ballweg will be leading a purse making workshop. Hande entered competition 5 years ago with a purse shop diorama that started it all. Hande will teach you how to make a leopard skin style purse. No sewing skills required. Bring a pair of paper cutting scissors with you to class.

NiniMomo’s Beading Techniques Presented by: Marie Lebreton
Duration: 2 Hours
Learn beading techniques for embellishing doll apparel from NiniMomo’s Marie Lebreton. Marie will give you a beginner’s level lesson on beading fabric and embellishing finished doll clothes. No experience necessary. Marie was introduced to sewing at a very young age and hasn’t stopped since as evidenced by the exciting and fabulous NiniMomo OOAK dolls seen at convention every year!
Bring with you to class: doll, doll clothes, doll stand, small embroidery type scissors.
Items supplied: beads, sequins, needles, thread, fabric.

If you have been admiring those talented artists that can paint an homage to our favorite doll this workshop is for you. You will learn to paint a Barbie® doll themed acrylic masterpiece in 2 hours and complete a 16” X 20” canvas painting. Jenny will provide the 16” x 20” canvas, paint, brushes, and easels.

Embellished T-Shirts For You Presented by: Stephanie Tatum
Duration: 1.5 Hours
This is a hands on class where you will decorate a people (not doll) sized Barbie® doll T-shirt to wear. Participants will receive a pre-printed T-shirt and will be able to select various embellishments to make the design their own. We will use lace, ribbons, rhinestones, fabric, glitter, paint and other items to create a one of a kind T-shirt. No skills needed!
Everything provided at class, just provide a shirt size when you sign up. Small through 4X sizing available by preorder only when you sign up for this class.

Life Size Fashion Dolls In Pictures Presented by: Stephanie Tatum
Duration: 2 Hours
This is a hands on photography class which will help participants take photos of their dolls in life size scale. This class will take you outside the plastic world of fashion dolls and bring them into your world. You will walk around to various locations around the convention facility to learn how to trick perspective and make your doll appear human sized. Participants should have a basic understanding of how to use and focus their camera.
Equipment needed: digital camera with a fully charged battery, memory card or cord to download your photos to a PC, one or 2 dolls to photograph. All participants will receive a small memento for attending.

Learn how to set 3 changeable hairstyles for your fashion doll and how to fix them yourself from our Italian friends Mario and Gianni of Magia2000. Magia2000 have been the doll designers for 2 National Barbie® Doll Collectors Conventions and contribute generously to other US events including Grant A Wish. They now co-host their own Italian Doll Convention.
Bring to class: 1 doll (your favorite Barbie Basics® doll or Collector Edition doll works best for this class)
Class will provide: comb, grease/gel tiny bottle, spray, straws, bands, and brochure.

French Quarter Fantasy™ Juice Bar Presented by: Barb Johnson
Duration: 1.5 Hours
Create your own doll sized juice bar complete with bar and fruit drinks as Barb guides you through this simple fun
activity. This bar uses foam core with no complicated measuring or cutting involved.
Participants may bring craft scissors, tweezers, Exacto knife or steel edged rule. A limited number will be available to share. All other materials will be provided including embellishments.
